If it is like most states, they close the rest areas because they get taken over by the prostitutes and dopers. A big problem is the number of truckers on the road is growing, and the number of parking spaces is not. A lot of truck stops have stopped allowing local truckers leaving their rigs when they go home. That and the number of businesses and municipalities that are outlawing truck parking is going to really make things bad.The ones they speak of on the I40 are in the middle of nowhere. Those things you mention aren't really a problem.
