Use whichever coil the manufacturer recommends for the ignition that you are using. If you do not.....you are asking for issues that you did not want in the first place. :mix: :clover:
I've been running a Vertex mag for years. Reliable. Simple. Performs well.
Call Don Zig in Los Angeles 323-735-6216. He can answer any question you have about mags, and he sells and repairs them. He has treated me well over the years.
Well since my msd has been reliable, Ill just continue running it I wanted to go mag but maybe summertime.
snoop around msd's web sight. lots of info on there.

Blaster 2, the High-Vibration version.
I just ordered the epoxy-filled Pertronix flame thrower 2 to go with my Pertronix dizzy, 45kv, but I have a pretty mild 350. Not sure why I replied, because I haven't tried it yet
Fired mine up 2 days ago on her storage stand. Man I would hate to get zinged by that 45Kv coil thru those very-low resistance wires.
Can't say she purred like a kitten, but she fired every cyl solidly and dead on time.
It's great meds to hear a big block open-headered boat engine in February in the midwest while the exhaust is pointed at snow.
