whats the deal on this hallcraft gearbox I hear alot about that other brand...it has a case that can be spilt is it a total pos? I need to cavatiaton plates how thick is the metal and what kind do I ask for anything special? or just a old st.sign?the ones on the boat have seen better days at least I have a patten. thanks
