It's just over 3 hours from Havasu. Went there in January. What info do you need?

Thanks for the fast responses, Im trying to book this right now. Im looking for lodging and things to do. I know you could spend weeks there, but do you think 1 or 2 night is good?

Also look into the lodges at the park. There's also Williams which is just a 45-60 minute drive.

We did that trip last June. We stayed overnight, which was enough for us. We stayed at the Thuderbird Lodge (overlooking the rim), which was decent. We ate at the restaurant next door, wasn't that great for the money we spent. The place to stay is El Tovar if you can get in and they have a really nice restaurant, unfortunately they were booked solid when we made the trip. We took the Free tram ride to several different view points, that was cool. We also hiked down pretty far on the Mule Trail. You can take mule hikes too. We tried to catch the train from Williams but we were too late. The train takes you right into the south Rim where all the lodges are, you do not need a car up there. Everything is walking distance. NExt time we will take the train, heard that was a fun ride. Have Fun.

We stayed at The Grand, right outside the park.
They have a nice resturant, heated pool / spa and a Starbucks.
There is an IMAX down the street and some other fast food places you've heard of.
Rate was 120 bucks.. its been a few months.
Flagstaff was great.. but its a 90 min or so drive from the GC.

Enjoy the wild life.. It was a treat!
But don't fall off the edge like we did.

We stayed at the hotel in Williams, then took the train over and back. Trip included dinner, room, train )we upped to the scenic car with buffett and entertainment) train robbery, parking, etc. Very, very nice. Williams is not too far from Sedona as well...
