Is anyone using "Zoomers" exhaust tips for 500hp or more? I need to know if it met the AZ/CA legal limit and or the monkey marina limit.

I ran them on my old 27 Shadow with a 525. I used the thru transom ones. I passed the noise test with lots of room to spare and also lost a lot of perfomance as well. I put them on in the morning and had them off that night. Supposedly they have redesigned them, but I do not know.

I talked to Brent Leach this weekend at the boat show and he had nothing but good things to say about them. He is running them on his new "Next" design.

Like I stated I talked to the new guy running Zoomers and they did make some changes. The one thing I did not like as well is that the exhaust makes a whistling noise while on the throttle. Again, on the old ones I do not know about the newly designed ones. I would takea look at the Gibson mufflers as well. Just my .02.

We installed some Zoomers last year on a few 750 to 800 HP normally aspirated engines. I never tested the decibels but don't believe they would have passed. Lost about 400 RPM's too.....

Sounds about right. It made my 525 sound like a 350 Mag and I lost around 400-600 RPM's as well.

Maybe that's how they claim it improves fuel economy in the boats.....

I do not know. They say they have redesigned them so it would be interesting to see what was changed and how they perform now.
