The K6 will have 2 1/2" zoomies!... Gotta remember a restriction on the outlet puts a strain on the inlet think about it, the right combo will get you out of the hole!..
About to select a set of zoomies for a blown alky bbc. Typical "K" boat.
WHAT SIZE TUBING. Heard lots of opinions.
For comin outa the hole we felt.......smaller was better!
What say you?

Steve, you can just follow the K-6 around and see how they work...

Thanks for the reply Art.
Never heard much dialogue on this subject, although the no resriction law has stuck in my head.
Wondered if anyone has messed with it dyno wise Alky or gas(blown).

What the restriction does is increase the boost and that in turn takes up HP to turn the blower, it's not like an N/A deal know what I mean!...

10-4..... thanks
I can't offer anything as I have always run the small zoomies. 2 1/4" I think. Anyway I have run 24 lbs of boost before and the more pulley I put to it the faster and quicker it went. LOL. Which is prolly what we are all after.
I'd buy whatever was "on sale".
Well it kinda reminded me of back in the car days, knew these guys that were playing with a blown alky digger they tried different size pipes, and I remember when they went to a smaller diameter the boost went up but the car didn't go any faster, then they went to a bigger diameter and the boost dropped and the car ran the same, so they put more pulley to it to bring the boost where it originally was and that made a huge difference, it woke up big time!.. That's the only time I've seen that experiment done, maybe on another application it would be different I don't know!..
Art there may be something there then. That's the way to prove something against the clocks. I do know a guy with a hydro that has both sizes of zoomies and perhaps we can run some back to back to runs and see what the results are.
I have a set of 2 1/2 inch Zoomies for sale, PM me if interested.
