I sold my 468 12:1 roller motor, for a gas pump friendly 454.It is a new peanut head truck motor. My question is,is there a camshaft that I should install to make this truck motor work any better than the one in it now?Or am I limited by spring bind? This is going to a jet boat.19 feet, B impeller, single carb.

If the cam that is in it is already broken in, I'd just leave it in there.
Whatever cam that would be larger than the one you have in there would probably not increase the rpm range at all (100rpm/2mph,200/4,300/6), and like you said, you are coil bind limited.

there are lots of factors that come into play now. have the mains been clearances for a marine application? springs would also come into play when selecting a cam you always want to have the right springs for the cam you select. my best suggestion would to get ahold of cstraub69 here on the boards and see what he can make work for you he is a cam specialist and knows his shit...just my .02

Problem #1. You need freer-breathing heads to spin that B impeller, or get a AA and a blower. Those are going to hurt you IMO any time you get much over 4,000RPM.

Probably not much with those heads and the RPM you are going to need/want.
Or am I limited by spring bind? This is going to a jet boat.19 feet, B impeller, single carb.
Personally almost any cam change, especially from a stock to a larger aftermarket camshaft needs to have the springs replaced to match the cam.
The advice to have a chat with cstraub is good advice.
Just what are your goals? "Make this truck motor work better" is pretty darned vague.
