the best way to download pics.... help?

Im having problems downloading pics only about 3 out of 10 go through, now before I respond to a thead I try to post the pic first... if it goes through, then I write to the thread. I cant tell you how many times Ive lost my work because of pics...
you guys that have been posting,since the good lord spit ya... have it down..
Please give some input, because there are alot of us with great pics just waiting to be shared....

The fastest way is to just use the "manage attachments" deal.... When you post, then there will be a link to the pic where people will have to click on them to see the pics. Then usually somebody will take it from there & post 'em for you.
If you want to do it the other way: first off, do you have a gallery set up here in the HB Image Gallery? For awhile it was all jacked up & I was hosting the pics on hotboatpics.com & uploading them from there.....

What has worked best for me was to download to photobucket.com and then copy the image to the body of the message you are writing

I know am close, I have a Image file setup on photobucket, but once am log on to photobcket, what go down next.. I was told both ***boat and photobucket have to run at the same time..

It kinda helps, to me it does anyway..... Whatcha wanna do, whatever pic you're gonna post, right click on it. The window comes up, click "properties", then when the "properties" window shows up, copy the address(URL). Then, whenever you get ready to post what you're going to post over here, click on the "Insert Image" button, looks like this...http://www.***boat.com/forums/images...nsertimage.gif, when that window comes open, paste the address(URL) that you copied from the pic & click OK. That should put the pic in the post for ya.

I can post pics all day long, but telling someone how to do it is another story, LOL. Hope all that makes sense. If not, somebody will get ya fixed up... :rollside:

here goes, kinda confusing,
1. open ***boat and start writing in the message box
2. open photobucket
3. browse your computer to find the picture you want to insert
4. download that picture to photobucket
5. find the picture in your gallery on photobucket
6. double click on IMG code below the picture you want to add (it will say copied)
7. bring ***boat back up and right click on the message where you want to put the photo. then left click on paste
8. ta da it will be in code but when you preview the post it will come up with the picture.
hope this helps, if anyone else has a better way please add or modify this post.

This is all my pictures in photobucket. To post a pic in a thread. Look under the picture in photobucket and click the img code. It copies it for you. Now come back to your thread on HB and paste it in the thread by pressing ctrl V. This will post the picture in your thread. Very easy.
