Question: I am pulling apart my "468" and have discovered it's really a 427. The rotating assembly is a GM6223 (427 crank) and the block is a GM GM3916321 (427 block). I want to build a stroker 454 (something close to 500 CID). Can I use this block or should I get something else?

Blocks are the same. Stock rod length (6.135) is the same, so all you need is crank and pistons. And some money.

Yeah, since I took it out of a running motor, it's in great condition. I wonder if anyone in here would want to buy it? Shoot, I would just sell the entire rotating assembly.

Ebay it! Used to be some demand for the steel 427 (396) cranks. Not sure now with all the aftermarket crank choice available. Do me a favor and send me pictures (if possible) of the main bearings when you remove the crank. On going study. Thanks!

Yeah, there is another one starting @ $250 that hasn't got any bids. I kinda thought they would be worth more than that.
