Thread: California Trailer Brake question

I have heard that California is going to start cracking down on trailer brakes. My boat trailer is a single axle, and never had brakes. My Bronco has no problems stopping it, and I definately don't want to add em. Does any one know, do I have to add trailer brakes? If so do I replace the axle, or add them some how?
    any help appreciated
