Thread: Long risers for merc center rise manifolds?

Are there any long risers for stock manifolds available? That aren't super expensive? I am thinking of making my own If I cant find any affordable.
I will be running a Crane 100072 cam (Single pattern 228@ 0.50, 112* lobe separation) on a 383 and I am worried about reversion.
My gut feeling is that the stock risers won't cut the mustard with this cam, and I don't know if those 3" or 6" spacers will help.
    Thanks

Don't sweat it, I have a Comp. 280 thats 230 @.050 and .480 lift and it works fine thru the alpha drive, then with thru transom right off the risers. The thru transom addition was worth 6 mph!!!!!!!! The cam with the thru the prop was only worth 3 mph with the performer rpm too. The motor is a 260 hp 350. Don't worry about the spacers. TIMINATOR

Thanks, makes me feel a lot better. Mine is already thru-hull, but is going from a 350 mag (270hp?) to roughly 400 hp on a 388. It saw a weak 42-45 mph on the 350, hoping for 55 on the new motor. Its a four winns 241 (24') liberator with an Alpha.
Headers next year then... Maybe blower too??
