Long Shot Texas Question:

We're taking a Hot Lap around the USA this summer.
There is a place in Texas I've wanted to see since seeing it on tv as a kid.
It's a roadside turn-out, and way, way off in the distance you can see lites on a mountainside, or perhaps it was just off in the distance, unexplained.
These lite have been visible for years and no one knows the source, or so the legend goes.

Anyone know where this curiosity stop is? We'd like to show it to the kids.

You found it. Not a lot of water around there. Suggestion, go down from Alpine to Lajitas and Trelingra into Big Bend NP. It's about as far from anywhere you can get. A bunch of old hippies, kind of like me, live in Trelingra. Lajitas was bought by a guy out of Austin. Redid the golf course and trying to make it a resort. Has a good RV Park. Cell phones don't work down there.
Need any other info on West Texas, let me know, I travel on business out there all the time.
