Considering taking a job in Glendale.
Currently live in South OC. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect?
Neighborhoods?, Schools?, housing affordability? I know there is a train station near the office and I know traffic sucks, so Id like to find a neighborhood near a train station so I dont have to brave the freeways during the week.
Am I going to find anything in the 650k range for housing or will I need to spend more? Any info you can provide would be great.

So OC to Glendale. Would have to be a damn good job for me to consider that move.

Just funnin with ya. I'm sure there's some nice parts of Glendale that compare to S OC. I just haven't seen em.

at least you'll be closer to Porto's Bakery, corner of Brand & California.

Glendale will have some in your range. They will be older and not all new like Ladera. I would love to find an old ranch style home and fix it up.

Not afraid of the fixer up stuff. I bought my home in Ladera new and it needed plenty of stuff redone.
Looking for clean neighborhoods and not a bunch of gangsta's... Trying to raise a family so I want to make sure its a good environment with good schools. Dont have to be in Glendale either. If I leave early enough to get to work traffic wont be an issue...Will it?

I would check out Santa Clarita then... more like So OC. Not sure on prices or drive time to Glendale.

If it's an office job and you don't need the car, I'd stay in the OC and take the Metro...no stress, and you can get work done along the way...

It has the best schools in that area. i would avoid Santa Clarita unless you don't mind driving in a lot of traffic.
