I've got a 2000 v6 right now. I'm getting around 13-14 mpg running 35's. If yours is stock you should get about 400 miles to a fill up. It's a 22 gallon tank.
I'm really impressed with the power it has. As far as towing.... I usually tow the boat round trip 6 miles to the ramp and back. The boat is a 22 ft. I've also towed a 19ft toy hauler. It does fine.
