Thread: KEEPING IT CIVIL !!

    V-Drive Tom
I just wanted to bring up how civil this forum seems to stay. I have only been doing this for a few months. I stayed away on purpose because I had seen what people say about others and how it gets completely out of control.(On other race boat sites)
Now I like jabbin at people as much as the next guy, but you realy shouldn't say anything that you wouldn't say to their FACE!
(Here's a little...MAN...THOSE JET GUYS...!!! WHAT A PISSIN MATCH!!! JUST MAD because they bought a JET BOAT?) Guess I feel thats a good example??!! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

With almost 3000 members this site does stay pretty cool Tom. When I was over at DBR.com as Moderater, holy smokes!! what a cluster screw that was and we only had 300 members. Even the jet forums make that site seem tame. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif I don't even log on over there at DBR.com anymore, it's sad. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif Duane Sims works his butt off to give the racing community a place to congregate, and folks want to tear the place apart.

Being a jet person myself, but also in a family of V-drives, sadly, I have to agree that the forums over here are much more civil. Keep it up guys! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

    Heads up
yeah it is sad that things get completely out of control. Lots of friendships have ended because of these forums. I guess it could be a good thing, I mean if the forums brings out a persons true feelings about another. Well, then those two people really don't need to waste each others time acting like friends when they could really give a shit about one another. Oh the life in the forums.

It's nice to have a place to go where you don't have to read around all the four letter words all the time. Let's keep it up

Tom, Cost and all of the v-drive group, you are right, this is and I hope continues to be one of the most civil and informative sites on the net, and I think we should work to keep it this way, I have seen countless newcomers come in here as green as we all were at one time and through the guidance from Tom and several of the regulars, have asked questions and avoided a lot of the mistakes we have either made ourselves or have seen someone else make, which has saved a lot of time, money and averted possibly dangerous situations from happening. Thanks!

I agree, this is one of the better forums and it should stay that way, if we all work at it, there's no reason why it can't be the best. After all, we are V-Drivers, we need to set an example, right!!....... http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
