Thread: Twin Turbo 5.7 Hemi in a Nordic V-Drive

We are building a 04 5.7 Hemi twin turbo to put into a Nordic V-drive. It will feature FAST XFI fuel injection to control the factory coils, use the factory crank and cam sensor. I got one of the first few Mopar Perofrmance MPI intakes. It will have a 90mm throttle body, air to water intercooler, twin 60mm ball bearing turbos, Tail 40mm or 44mm wastegates. We hope to make between 700-800hp with this combo.

    Real nice fab work Brian.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has to put a small spacer in the pipes sometimes to make things line up.
The individual ignition coils sure looks like the way to go.
Does that allow you to run a larger plug gap since each coil has more saturation time ?
How could you retrofit an ignition setup like that and use 8 coils on something that had a distributor before ?

The washers are for the bolts that are too long for only mock up.
There are several ECUs that can fire coil on plug, FAST, Big Stuff 3, Motec, Autronic, wasted spark with Electromotive. These are just a few.
Fast and Big Stuff can use an electronic dist drive that will take your ignition signal and convert it to fire the seperate coils.

I was referring to the short sections in the header tubes.
The more I hear about the Big Stuff ECU the better it sounds.
The Haltech unit I've got has served me well but it doesn't have some of the features of the more expensive units. I guess that's why the Haltech is
    only $ 1350.00
What do you think of the Simple Digital Systems unit ?

A couple of the honda guys have that who bring there cars to dyno, I have been far from impressed. Your Halltech is much better. If I were going to do a low cost solution it would be Megasquirt. You can buy the ECU for $500 done with a wire harness and map sensor. It is very close to what the FAST and Big Stuff 3 software is but also is not a plug and play style ECU. You will have to do alot of research on their support site to get things working and there are alot of bugs. You can't beat it for the price.

Looks like a small oil pan. Planning on making one that has more capacity?
