My port outdrive wont trim or trailer...?
it goes down fine, and i can raise it by shorting across the solenoid...
i just replaced my trim pump mounts, and went back and made sure the grounds are good...
the switch is good, it "clicks" at the solenoid...
so.... did i mess up one of the low votage wires, or is the solenoid bad? even though it does click..

Sounds like you have a bad solenoid or you missed something putting it back together. Check to see if there is power and ground at the solenoid. You may also have purchased the wrong solenoid. There is a few different ones with similar looks but are not wired the same inside.

i never took it apart when i pulled it off the old mount...???
and it has been working for a couple of years...
i guess it could be bad.... i'll undo it all and put the old ones on and see....
