I came across this thread and read it 3 times, got a headache and had to take a nap.
Will be sending a P/M to the author about oils for blower motors on gas and alcohol. After my 2nd headache goes away, I re-read it....... AHHHHHH

Interesting read. I did not go through it all, but it has some good info. He sure wanted you to know just how smart he was though. He could have used a bit more basic of an explanation to say many of the things he was trying to get across.

yeah nothing new there really, all the info is in SAE doc's, etc. Could have gotten it across with less words and just the numbers. SAE sets the viscocity standards, and its all pretty well spelled out in doc's that are in any library

the tbird get 5-20 full synthetic 'cause that's what the books says...I've run synthetic in most of my cars for about 10 years. Less sludge and more consistent molecular weight!

    Darrell,
you are right, the Dr. is a male. At the F/chat there is a pic of a woman on his profile so I assumed the Ali in the pic was the Dr..
I am a new member at F/chat but only for the reading.
