This one's got me a little perplexed. Lavey 24 NuEra, 502 Mag EFI, 22 prop. After getting the starter replaced by reputable shop, the very next time running, had what sounded like a warning buzzer (consistent beeping that will not stop until I turn off engine) starts up about two/three minutes into a run. Not getting excessive temp., still have oil pressure. Pulled 3 dif. wires - drive resv., temp., oil press, and still had beeping. Took it back to shop and they could not reproduce the condition. Back on the water, same thing. Weird thing, it only happens when I'm in gear running. Can't get beeping when just sitting still and revving up motor. Doesn't seem to affect performance. Any ideas?

Could it be your depth guage if you have one. Maybe needs to be reset.

Doh! Could be. I considered that at one point, then forgot. Bought the boat used, and it (d - gauge) hasn't seemed to ever work properly. Have to say that I haven't paid much attention to it, though. Thanks.

Some of them can be pretty tempermental because of make or where they are mounted
