Ive got a buddy lookin for a newer 28' Skater with 300x's. He already knows about the one on oso, but he doesnt like the colors. Does anyone know who bought "havasu cigs" old boat? maybe he could get ahold of him and see if hes ready to sell??

he wants somewhere around an 04-06 and a 50hr or less boat. exactly like the one that was on here a while back.
What's his budget?
He has to be looking for a relatively new boat with the hours he wants on it.
The one in the ad is over priced as you can nearly build a new one for $130K.
I don't think 130 will build a new 28. The price will very on how the boat is setup, but if you get a panit job and top of the line rigging you will be well over 150k.
The hull alone is $80K.
That leaves 50K to rig the boat, and with the smart craft gauges that come with the new engines you will not need much other than steering, helm, batteries, throttles, wiring, etc.
300Xs 18K ea, 36K
This leaves 14K for misc. items.
130K ish is realistic especially when it is a new boat and the one in the ad is 5 -6 years old.
80k with or with out trailer??
Power Boats North West has one for $160,000 brand new. I believe it is a 2006 or 7. That might be able to be bought for a decent deal. The time to build a new one is at least a year or more out. Havasucigs boat was sold for a great deal. And was set up right.
