Can you really get a ticket for no flame arresters in a wide open boat without an engine cover?????I know the engine compartment type boats have alot of requirements like that, but your average ski boat!!!!!Moneypit

State of Oregon says if the carbs are above the gunnel you don't have to have any flame arrestors unless it is a covered engine. but they will try and tell you that you do just ask to see the rule book. they will then back off. at least that is here in Oregon.
