I need some recomendations for amps. I need it to be 500wx1 @ 2 ohms. Really it needs to be 3 ohm stable, but good luck finding something for that. I need two of these. I have a couple of 500wx1 @ 4 ohm stable (250x2 @ 2 ohm), but these might get hot. They need to run one channel and have high pass filters. Amps are not for subs. Oh, and did I mention I need good but reasonably priced? Thanks.

I think JL Audio amps work at many ohms, including 3 ohms.

I used to be all about Kicker for amps. But I have never been happier since I bought Directed. They make great products. And their customer service is great too.
    good luck

I really like wakeside.com for just about everything wakeboard oriented. They have a rewards program. 99% of the time they are the same price as every other website, but the rewards really pushes me over. Anyway, I bought a pair of these from them last year for just over $1800. They, along with everyone else, are now selling them for just over $1700. I like the appearance of these over a couple of others I was looking at. The others I liked were the NVS Entitiy 1010's and the Wetsounds Pro 485's.

I remember seeing those in another post of yours. They helped push me down the right road also. Thanks.

    Has anyone looked into the Alpine MRD-M605? It's spec's are 400 watts x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) and about $200 less than the PDX-1.600.
How about the Infinity Reference 611a? It's spec's are 456 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (657 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) and it is only $200.
Both are Class D, and neither have the high pass filters.
