I can clearly remember the first time I saw the smoking room at Atlanta airport. This Glass Room was packed to the gills with people that you couldn't see because the smoke was so thick in there.......
I cracked up seeing that much desperation in smokers.
and I crack up at all the people grabbing one last drink before boarding. It's fun to attack a group you are not part of. But once that group has been vanquished .... there will be something else to attack. Say ... alcohol. That's the basis for not giving up any part of ones freedom. Because it doesn't affect you today, someday it just might.
I can understand smoking addiction or drug addiction, I have severe coffee addiction in the morning. I've tried to cut back, but my body won't let me. Even if there was help, I don't want to quit. Is coffee harmful? I don't care, I'm not going to give up my morning coffee...
It's a small price to pay for clean air and peace of mind.

Washington's law just went into effect in December. No smoking in any public building.
