I think the guy is a dick for taking the necklace, she is just as guilty for driving the car and they should go to jail for as long as the charges dictate.
I don't know the details, but I would imagine they are being charged with theft (probably not grand theft), assault and battery, no?
But they live in California, so they will get three months and parole.
