Best way to remove powder coating ???

I want to remove the powder coat off my rails and motor plate. Help please. Thanks

It wood be cost effective to buy new 6061T6 angle and recut new rails..

Paint stripper seems to work well Jabsco or something from Home Depot.

A high quality paint remover will take it off
It will take some time and it is messy so do it on some paper or plywood that you can throw away after you are done. I did Kryptonite's boat that way it worked fine

Home Depot sells some toxic stuff called Jasco. If you put powdercoated parts in it, the powdercoating will literally just wipe right off. Get some industrial strength gloves though.. That stuff eats through rubber gloves in about 5 minutes and it'll start burning your skin pretty good.

for powder coating use paint stripper ( air craft type ) or oven cleaner works great to.. and if its anodizing use lye and hot water.. You can find lye at any store its toilet cleaner...

Thanks guys for the info. I've used jasco in the past on other painted items and that stuff work great. I'm glad in will work on powder coat to.

some powder coaters have a chemical to remove the coating.
give them a call.
