    It's because it is different and turbines are expensive.
    Hell I had a 91 Mustang Coupe that could woop on most Ferraris, Vipers, Porsches, etc in the 1/4(10.86Sec), top speed(186mph), and handling of about 1g. Would I take the Ferrari over my Mustang... hell yah!!!

    it is the novilty of the whole thing. unlike a piston driven engine you can hold a turbine wide open up and down havazoo all day long.
