Thread: Keel Hook on jetboat...

Sorry for the large pic but I want the gap to be visible..
Does that gap need to be straightened also? I have straightened the rest of the running surface but I am hesitant to mess with how water feeds into the pump by trying to straighten the keel.
    Any advice from the gurus...?

It would depend on what type of hull it is? If it's not a race deal, I think your OK...But then again, It wouldn't take much to fix it while you have it bottom up..........

It is a light layup (in my opinion) but will not be used for racing. Maybe some WOT runs and pulling towables. Just wasnt sure if that little of a gap would affect the way the pump is fed. The rest of the running surface is straight now but I am way tired of putzing with it.
