It would depend on what type of hull it is? If it's not a race deal, I think your OK...But then again, It wouldn't take much to fix it while you have it bottom up..........

Does that gap need to be straightened also? I have straightened the rest of the running surface but I am hesitant to mess with how water feeds into the pump by trying to straighten the keel.
Any advice from the gurus...?

It is a light layup (in my opinion) but will not be used for racing. Maybe some WOT runs and pulling towables. Just wasnt sure if that little of a gap would affect the way the pump is fed. The rest of the running surface is straight now but I am way tired of putzing with it.
