Im in need of a turnbuckle to adjust the tension on my alternator. It has to be about 8" long from end to end and needs to have one end for a 3/8 bolt and the other for a 5/16 bolt. Any ideas where i could get something like that? Stainless would be nice also.

Have you considered using v-drive cavitation plate turnbuckle parts like what you might find here? (http://www.rexmar.com/page138.html)
Another good source of turnbuckle adjusters would be the street rod industry. Lots of companies making trick parts there. Pick up an issue of Street Rodder Magazine and browse the ads/webpages.
