On a motor that has exhaust logs, the water comes from the pump and goes to a "T" fitting. Both ends of the T fitting run to the logs first. Then they run out of the logs and into the motor. The water exits through the thermostat housing and runs down to the exhaust risers, then dumps out of the boat via the risers.
On a motor with OT headers, the ends of the T run straight into the motor. The water exits through two holes in the thermostat housing. One of them goes to an overboard dump, while the other one goes to a gate valve. The gate valve feeds the Bassett "T Valve", which splits off to the header water injection manifolds.
You can get pipe fittings at any hardware store.

Top of the manifold goes to front of block to a T and continues up to top of thermostat so you have water going in the block and water going to heat risers keeping your exhaust cool so you don't melt your exhaust rubber hose's. From thermostat to top of heat risers(water exiting the engine). I'm in the process of replumbing mine. Hope this helps ya.

There are 2 T's that go in these holes on the front of block then to top of thermostat.

sweet thanks guys.. just one more question.. where should i have the water enter the motor? one of the low mounted holes that are currently blocked by a bolt?

Some guys do that...honestly though, it's a lake boat. Engines were designed for water to enter the block where the water pump would normally mount, so having the water enter there will be fine. Keep in mind...you're not drag racing the thing.

Here ya go. This is how you can plumb yours if your running heat risers and wanna preheat your water before it enters the block. To stop thermal shock. I'm running a Rex marine thermostat kit and also have a psi relief valve plumbed in and is set for 15lbs.
