I am converting former jet powered 21" daycruiser to outboard power. The engine is a rebuilt 1983 Johnson 235. Do I need a dual cable steering setup or will a new single cable be safe? If I need a dual unit does anyone have a used assembly for sale?
    Thanks, wes

Anything 150 and above I would recomend dual cables, dual opposed being the best. Check out the no feed back systems from Teleflex. (http://www.teleflexmarine.com/cgi-bi...s&product=1066)
My favorite is the Seastar Pro.... :crossx:

I've been told the same thing. 150HP & up should have dual cables.
