ahh the ol drop through.. well you cut a slot in the middle of the boat where u think its gotta be . and inside there a plate 1/4 inch flat against the bottom along with that there are two 3/8 x 4 inch angle 6 bolt through the hull upwards and three across the top angle braces...if i had a pic its easier but thats how it works

RGM, drop thru is the way to go. Stronger, cleaner (when installed right). A simple way to install is to machine 2 blocks out of square stock, one for each side of the strut web. These mount inside the boat with flat heads through the bottom. Then you cross bolt them through the strut web. They're similar to our motor mount blocks except much larger and custom to each application. Superdave could likely build you a pair by the looks of his equipment as well as many others in these boards. Advantages are strength and there is no strut pad underneath the boat causing drag, no recess in the bottom necessary for such a pad either. You just cut a slot in the boat drill some holes to mount the blocks, some sea-goin putty or even silicone if it's flat, and you're there. Hope this helps
