Bud, that sucks....Especially when trying to do the right thing..
Hopefully some of the socal guys can chime in and help you out.
I from NorCal so I am no help.
So I was on the lake today, someone need a jump start so I helped them out.. While my hatch hydrolic isn't working so I had to take the pin out to open the engine cover. Well after I did my good deed and helped someone out. I totally forgot to put the pin back in, so about a 30 minutes later, the engine cover went flying.....
So now it needs to be replaced.. Does anybody know of a place that can fix this mess (which I doubt can happen) or get a new one. I have a 21' Essex Sterling.

I'd check with an upholsterer.
Nacho's Auto Upholstry in North Hollywood, Ca.
Kind of far for you, but they re-upholstered out bench seat in our boat when it went flying out on the freeway, and got run over by a big rig
