I need to put 2 new axle's under my boat trailer. Both of my trucks already have the electric brake controllers. Is it safe to unplug the lights/brakes then back it into the water? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I asked about that when I replaced my axles too. The quote used stuck in my head; " Gee golly... maybee I shouldn't pull my trailer in the rain!" Yes, I love my electric brakes! Gets rid of all the jerking from surge breaks too. My digital controller does sugest removal of the plug when the trailer is immersed in water. Once you've secured the boat on the trailer, your drums will be back to normal.
