Thread: Check your Trailer Lugs!!!

    Here's what happens when they come loose:

    It felt like I ran over a damn truck! I looked back and the loose wheel was hauling ass towards the boat. Luckily, it missed the boat and rolled out into the field next to the road.
    This happened right down the road from Hogan, in front of the auto repair shop on the side of the road. The Katchenups were right behind me and stopped to lend a hand. James and mini found a couple of the lug nuts that fell off while Steve removed one from each of the other wheels and tightened the rest of them up(his too!). We jacked up the trailer axle, bolted the wheel back up and I was back on the road in short time.
    I made it home without further incidence. But my trailer is pretty much destroyed!
    Check them lug nuts folks!!!

    i gots me a little check list before i pull my boat...buddy bearings, wheel lugs, so on and so forth. glad no one was hurt or the boat...coulda been alot worse.

    I'm adding that to my list! I wish I'd have thought of it last Friday before I left for the lake!

    While you're at it check the tread too... mine decided to come off cruising down the 40 on Friday... No spare either

    I had the tread come off of mine 3 weeks ago coming out of Blythe and no I did not have a spare with me,it was in my garage.

    First nice gel color combo on your boat. Not just saying that cause mines sim. Good warning, adding to my checklist before drive down to Northern Cali soon.....
