I'm shocked it didn't come apart on you or "energetically disassemble". Nice pic!
Ever since I bought my boat a year ago I've noticed that it doesn't have a ton of power out of the hole.. I also noticed that under a load at slower speeds in a turn the jet would cavitate pretty bad. After a trip to the river last week I decided to take a look at the impeller. This is what I found:

I'm gonna take the jet to Jack at MPD on Tues day for the repairs since I've always wanted an inducer installed anyway, and I might as well have him do the repair to the impeller, or replace it all together. I'm pretty excited to see what it will be like since I've been operating the boat with the impeller in this condition since I've owned the boat... Hopefully this will address the cavitation issue and loss of bottom end...

Good thing it didn't come apart. You caught it just in time before your pump self destructed.
What the hell are you guys doing up this late
I am waiting for the wife and kids to wake up so we can go to the river.
When you have your pump rebuilt go with a Stainless Steel impellor. It's a little more expensive, but well worth it in the long run.
I just found my impeller in bad shape. Pieces missing and cracks all over it. I think the bolt head missing from my top loader did this. ???
I dont think this is any good any more .

It would be nice to get the SS impeller... I'm not ready to spend another grand, a bit "Overkill" on my checking account..
