Brandin has the right idea. Even with a 26 on your boat you should be seeing more than 4500 and at 4500 a 26 would have you running closer to 63 mph at this RPM
I too would suggest that you take the boat in and have the motor checked as I don't believe that it is running right. You shoud be running over 60, over proped or not. Also could be a drive alignment issue. 40 hours is way to soon to need a tune. Just my .02

I have CMI's on my HO and I would suggest the Dana system. Ediie make good stuff too but I know for sure that there are no issues with the Dana system install on an HO

Eddie makes some quality stuff, i don't think he would put it out there with his name on it if it wasn't bitchin. Everything we've ever got from him has been great, and a couple of our customers are running his aluminum manifolds they are working great too.

Have you had issues with your CMI'S....just curious...I installed Dana's but was real close to pulling the triggger on the CMI'S.

No issues at all. The install was a pain in the a**. Spinning a Merc labbed 28at 5050. Huge mid-range gains and 4 mph on the top. The main resson I recommend Dana's is the performance is said to be close, not nearly as pricey, and Dana's install with much less work.
Have you had any luck with the 27?
