He says there is nothing LA can do to make him stay.
Well, when you have Kobe Bryant as a trading chip, you can guarantee at least one or two star players in return.
I dont know if anyone else has been following this, but there has been alot of drama. Shaq backing up Kobe, Kobe firing at the Lakers, the Lakers "insider" firing at Kobe.
    LA is full of drama.

My loyalty is to the Lakers, not Kobe.
I think he will be missed and is still the greatest player in the game today. He is a hall of fame player. The good thing is, you can guarantee the Lakers will get ANY player (two or three) they want for him. I bet almost every team will be upping the dibs for him.

Hang in there DMxcuse. I'm sure that the thought of Kobe leaving the Lakers has to be right up there in your traumatic life experiences, like finding out that Santa Claus does not exist and there's no Easter Bunny.

Shit, I would want to be traded too if I was being used as a scape goat for something I had no part of.

He was on Power 106 this morning and did a pretty candid heart felt interview. You can tell he wants to stay a Laker but he is sick of loosing and getting the blunt of the critisism(sp)
Kupcheck is a good number cruncher but he will never have the ability to make people believe like West.
I don't see the Lakers letting Kobe go. The fans will be beyond pissed and tickets sales will show that.
I know a guy that is/was a Laker scout when the whole Shaq trade wen't down and he told me that Buss wasn't gonna sign him for what he wanted 10yr max contract.(I think it was a smart decision because he is about done)
They need to trade smush for Fisher!!!

We'll see how he likes Minnesota.

    My prediction:
    1) Kobe stays and plays out his 4 yrs remaining on the current contract.
    2) Jerry West leaves the Grizzlies (contract ends this year) and comes to the Lakers for a 4 year contract.
    3) Lakers pick-up a few key role players and some good bench help.
    4) Play well next season but don't contend till the following season.
    Just my gut feel.
