exhaust hose question

so, I pulled the engine to do some work and want to know if I can replace that 3" exhaust hose with a section of 3" pipe with hose acting as a coupling to the riser and TT fitting. It would make replacing the engine much easier and a different look.

You will have no problem with the pipe, its stronger and more heat resistant than the rubber exhaust hose.
