    hey guys,
Got the Miller back together. 454 Chev. It has a remote solonoid. I hooked everything back up the way it was but I can't remember if there was a wire on one of the starter solonoid terminals.
I have the big wire from the remote solonoid to the starter + terminal, and the cranking wire from the remote solonoid to the inboard small starter terminal. Boat starts and runs as is, but the nut on the outboard small terminal on the starter is loose like I took a wire off of it. It has been 8 months since I took it apart. I know, I should have snapped a pic. Is there supposed to be a wire here when using the remote solonoid?

If you are refering to the R-terminal on the soleniod you only use that if you are running points.
The R-terminal will become hot when the starter is cranking and would be connected to the positive side of the coil in a POINTS SYSTEM for a hotter spark on start up.

Thank You! That is how my other boat is wired with a points dist. Just wanted to make sure.
