I am building seats this week. I was going to run my fiberglass buckets but Im tired of the same old pleated seats. So I opted to make a set of square style seats like the new ones I would like ot see a few pics of different ones.

Those are nice, but I was thinking something a little more ghetto fab and even "boxier" would really tie this whole project together...

Here you go. Im pretty sure these are the seats that are used in a lot of CP's, kachina's etc...

Let me learnya sumthin k. Those brackets you have on the bottom to hold it all together are no good or lacking a tack strip. What you need to do is get some 3/4" ply wood. Cut it to match the inside of the seat. Once you do that measure 2" from the outside of that piece of 3/4" ply. The 2"s will be the foam that is put into the seat,K. It will look like a "U" or horse shoe. Then take this piece and glue it and screw it to the inside of the seat, in the base of it. This is the "tack strip". What this does is give a place to staple the material to. Now if you staple with the staple going down into the seat the staple will pull out with EZ. If you staple it to the face of the tack strip the staple will not pull out. Think of it as hanging a picture on a wall, the nail won't pull out with the weight pulling down. Now if you take that same nail and tug on it straght out it will come out easier. Do you get what I'm talking about. Your interior will last longer.
