People, I was thinking on going to Nacimento in the very near future... Seeing as I have never been there, is it a cool lake to visit?? Also how do I go about getting a rental there, anyone have one avail?? Any help is appreciated and I love boobie !!:devil:

I was there the last 2 weekends. Water level is only 50% but there is still lots of nice boating, and well worth it.

Having never been there it seems that the rentals are a lot mor $$ than the Havasu homes, did you find the same thing to be true?? Thanks for the help..
We are going 7/7-7/14. Never been there before, but the group we are going with go every year. If this week is not too late/after you need info. we'd be happy to give you a report!

There are a LOT LESS houses at Lake Nacimiento than in Lake Havasu City. Most are in gated communities with private dock and launch ramp privileges, and they don't rent to snow birds in the winter. So I guess all that adds up to more $$$.
When I'm just going for a night or two, I often just get a hotel in town (Paso Robles - which is a a 20-25 min drive from the lake).

I've personally used this site and rented a great house from it, Oak Shores is the best...but yeah you will want to pull together with a couple of people to help chip in.

Thanks for the link... I left them a msg, seems like a cool little spot and just hoping not to small....
I myself go to Lake San Antonio, it is a larger lake holds more boats. Plus Lake San Antonio has shore side camping, you can camp with out removing your boat. Nacimento is a smaller lake, but has more off shoots, good for fishing. Nacimento also has the Narrows, kinda the party area it is shallow and rocky. If you want to save a little money and don't mind about a 15 mile drive to the lake you can stay in Paso Robles. There are some real good resteraunts there. I can't remember the name of it but there is real good BBQ place in Paso too.
I heard one of the condo rental places out there is giving a 2 for 1 special or maybe just 50% off....I'm not sure. I could try to get more info it you need it (won't be today though).
