Well, here they are. The pictures below are of boat #2. The motor pictures are for Boat #1. It is a Donahue Custom Marine 510cid engine and we call it the 600/600. Roughtly 600h.p. and 600ft/lbs of torque. All with a 1 year warranty.

Here it is running on the dyno. 589h.p. @ 5,500 RPM's. Drop it down to 91 octane and it will do even better. It was run on 112 and low compression motors don't like high octane.

Nice looking setup. And a great setup to run. 600's are nice motors. I would say dump the valve covers, they're old school. I know your building a retro boat but some alum. DCM covers or match painted to the boat covers would be trick and add a touch more of detail.
    Just a thought......

Engraved valve covers are already on their way. We just used those on the dyno. DCM Valve covers come with the motor.

I like # 3 with solid colours on the side . Find the stripes a bit thick in the first picture , taking the graceful lines of the hull away  .

Wow, looks great. What kind of numbers are you expecting with 600 hp in a boat that size?
I somewhat wish that Parker would impose a 24' and under limit and we could all go back to river boats.
My guess is low-mid 90's with this motor & XR Drive

    Question?
Why would they run 110 octane in that motor on the dyno?
Wouldn't you want to know what the motor does with pump gas and if there was any kind of knock or detonation? I understand that it will make a little more hp with the lower octane but I would want my motor tested with the gas I am gonna run.
    Was it a loaded dyno?
