    2. Metallica - Turn the Page (Bob Segar)
    3. Kid Rock - Wasting Time (Fleetwood Mac)

    Are you talking about covers?
I don't know about a single CD but I have about 250 covers sung by various artist doing covers of various songs.
Johnny Cash- Hurt (Nine inch nails)
Mxpx- Summer of 69 (Bryan Adams)
    Or do you mean
Jimi Hendrix- All along the watchtower (Bob Dylan)
Eric Clapton- I Shot the sherrif (Bob Marley)
    or even
Aretha Franklin- Respect (oh yes a cover also orginally sang by Otis Redding)
Point me in a direction and maybe I can help out

all of the poplular songs of the pastYou're gonna have to narrow it down a bit. "All of the popular songs of the past" is a list of millions or at least tens of thousands. If you can narrow it to a decade and genre it would help.

Popular songs from the 80's that have been remade and actually sound good or dare to say, better than the original. I have heard some of those "tribute to" songs and they suck.
