New video of Infomaniac Jr. driving the Cougar.
How many of us learned to drive in a blown alcohol injected v-drive?
Very poor quality video - recorded on the memory stick by mistake. Unedited because the file size is so small. Not many videos posted so what the hell.
    Has some pretty cool sounds.
He has not quite yet got the hang of the hair sensitive throttle. He finds it necessary to let off when turning the wheel. He says it is easier. LOL

I did have to tell him to slow down later on.
Thought I was filming the whole time. Was on the memory stick by mistake. Just found it.

    It worked great.
Made up for too much prop diameter on take off.
Saw 8 grand on the tach last night on the big end.
Thought I took a picture. That is why I was looking around on the memory stick. Will take one tomorrow.
They sent the wrong size pins for the turnbuckles. Had to put bolts in temporarily.

Cool, are you still going to try mods on the prop??...

I want to cut the diameter down a bit.
I have a phobia about things like that. It is so permanent.
Just like drilling holes in the boat. I will go way out of the way to use existing holes or fasteners.
If it turns 8 grand now with 37 gears - If I burn the prop out of the hole, that is typically more RPM's than on the big end.
Not sure I want to twist it that much until some upgrades. A bunch of them. At least shaft rockers.
    Maybe just making excuses again.

Maybe just making excuses again. Although yours is night and day to mine, I went through the same thing(half the power though). I was turning 7500 with an 11 1/2x15 prop, 9 gear, 105mph. It was viscious as hell off the line. I had it trimmed to 11 1/2x14 and took some blade area out. Now with 18's, I turn the same rpm's and same mph but I don't have to plate it nowhere as hard off the line and it's so much easier to drive and it accelerates a lot quicker!. Maybe it would apply to yours too??..
