Used Boat Prices Compared To Average Nada Book

I am in the market for a Eliminator 25' or DCB 26' cat. Why is it that some people try to get way over retail prices for their boats and they seem to never sell them. Is it they are just trying to get over top dollar for their boats just to see if it is possible? And the boats that are priced accordingly to the book prices sell after a reasonable time.
I don't want to be someones suker you know what I mean!

Let me know what type of power and such you are after. Also year of boats your are looking for.
Book is not to accurate when it comes to a lot of these boats. There is no add in nada for a boat with fresh power or a $35,000 motor. Both of those are the case with a lot of the Daytonas on the market. It is a hard difference always. I really look at market more then nada.

I agree with you about a 35k motor, but I am looking at boats with 500hp or less and NADA adds $10,000 for a 500hp engine.
