I'm on some new stuff called Chantix. Actually works.... been nicotine free for two months now. (chewed that ****ing nicotine gum for two years after I said I quit smoking. Figured enough was enough)
I quit in '94 and am glad I did.
Set a date in the future. Could be 3 weeks, 3 months, etc. Make that commitment and do it. You don't have to tell anybody.
Then on that day smoke like you ordinarily would. That night smoke however many you have left be it 6 or 6 packs. Be sure to smoke enough to not want to smoke any more and then smoke some more. This is called cessation therapy.
The next day you're done. I recommend having one of those hand excercise things in the car. Drink a lot of water and get into the gym. A harmonica also helped.

I need to quit soon. I am going to havi today and I really don't want to smoke while I am there. I will try not to. I have one left as of this morning and I will see how it goes this weekend. It will be hard to do as I won't have anybody to help me stay on track while I am there.
