I've decided that I'd like to put up a few cameras in and around my house. I'm looking for suggestions for the cameras and system to do the following:
At least a 4 camera system (driveway, front door, side yard, hallway) - if more channels available, perhaps upgrade in the future to also cover individual rooms with entry from outside and back yard
System to be able to shoot video in day or night environment, with motion detection activation
Camera's to be as small/compact/inconspicuous as possible and weatherproof
    Wireless, for ease of mounting/locations
Output preferred to be able to go to a computer - if a capture card would be necessary, please suggest as well
2.4Ghz or higher, encryptable (so others can't see my feeds)
    Other suggestions? Considerations?
    Priced reasonable (not >$1000)
    Thanks guys!

How much ambient light do you have around your house??
We were all set to go IR here at work, but the camera guys we hired suggested a good low-light B/W camera would do just as good and considerably less cost... they were correct. Evidently the B/W cameras "see" pretty close to IR wave lengths, with just a little bit of ambient light they make it look close to day time. Especially if you have soidum vapor light close by.

 you may want to check cabela's for a game/wildlife camera. they work exceptionally well.

If I could afford it, I would!

I don't want to run a DVR...want to go straight to a PC (dedicated HD in there).
