On my Cole they are bolted through the floor, the heads are countersunk into the bottom of the boat and sealed with a waterproofing material.
We also mounted the nitrous bracket the same way .
I need to install a pair of Imco stainless gunnell tanks in my flatbottom and I was wondering what the correct mounting procedure is.
Do the tank brackets simply bolt through the hull?
The old tanks were fibreglassed right onto the bottom and had been removed some time ago by a previous owner. I have cleaned up the mess and want to install these new tanks, but want to do it correctly.
I'm sure it sounds like a stupid question but any help is appreciated.
