Thread: suggestions for sunk 2001 150 vmax

    saturday after noon i sunk my 2001 150 vmax yamaha we got out all the salt water and ran about 100 Gallons if fresh through it and about 10-15 gallons of oil no i cant get all the water out of it even with the power head off as well as not being able to get all of the water out of the ox66 fuel injection system. any suggestions

    How in the heck did you sink it or should I even ask? I don't know what you can do except take everything apart. Good Luck

    well since i am a commercial fisherman naturally it is on my work boat and we had a load of fish on and sunk

    Hey Snapper,
    If you sunk it in salt-water, you absolutely, positively, no-bs have to take it all apart! No joke here man, the salt in the water will eat the bearing surfaces and you will NEVER EVER get it all out without a complete disassembly! It's not worth the risk of having a future failure!

    it has had alot of oil and fresh water ran through it i have ran it too it seems fine so

    I'm tellin' ya, you will never get all the salt and sediment out and it will do damage in the future!
