That is a cool vid!Smooth running motor.
Man You need a dolly.I made one for the underside of the hull and then converted it for the upside down work.Real easy to build and as been very usefull. here are a few pics.

I used an engine hoist in the front, same as you ,except straight off the eye.I do like the rig You built for the front. Here is the rig I built to use for the rear end.I did not have the pump to use.so I had to get a little creative.

Hey Hal, Do you think that 4" x 4" frame would pull a motor as well?

I intend to find out. I feel certain that it will after I do some more bracing.
I am going to gusset from the center lifting position out 45* with double2x4's thru bolted. Should be able to lift quite a bit. I will post a pick when completed....Hal

I'll be looking forward to the photos. It would be a nice addition to a shop of any kind.
Here's what I've got done on the bottom so far.
I've got the center section pretty much straight.
You can damn near cut yourself on the 2 center strakes.
A little more fine tuning and the center will be ready for primer
then on to the sides.
What a way to spend Labor day weekend.

Very nice ingenuity. My forks stick out almost two feet on my boat. Any ideas on what kind of sling I can make? My boat has gelcoat chips and smal dings. Not enough to flip it though. Would like to be prepared in case I catch low tide. Thanks for any ideas
Sharp strakes will cast off water faster; more speed. They will also catch water like an anchor in a turn. Nothing wrong with a little radius on the edges. Be careful.
Awsome job!!!
